Cuisine at home Forums is the online, interactive part of our Cuisine web site. This is the place where readers of Cuisine at home Magazine and visitors to www.CuisineAtHome.com share comments, recipes, ideas and their general enthusiasm for food and cooking. The Forum is a great resource for

BROWSING & READING FORUM DISCUSSIONS

Anyone can read the Cuisine at home Forums postings. To get started, just click on the Cuisine at home Forums link at the very top, right corner of this page.

Click on the link to enter Cuisine Forums


To browse the postings, just click on the Cooking Forum name in the list.

Click on a Forum title to select it.


This will bring you to a listing of all the current topics in that Forum. The topics are listed in order from newest to oldest. To read postings on a particular topic, just click on that topic in the list.

Click on a discussion topic.


To choose how many topics to display, click on the down arrow to show the options. Select an option and click on the "Go" button to change the topics displayed.

New posts since your last visit.At the left of each active topic in the list is a small light bulb image. If the bulb is "lighted", there have been new replies to this topic since your last visit to the Cuisine at home Forum.

No new posts. If the bulb is not "lighted", there have been no new replies since your last visit.

Closed topic.If a locked folder icon appears before a topic instead of a light bulb, the discussion has been "closed" and no new responses can be added. However, you can still read all of the posted messages on that topic.


Lighted bulbs indicate message since your last visit.


After you've read the discussion, you can use your browser "Back Button" to return to the list. Or, if you prefer, you can go to the "next newest topic" or "next oldest topic" by clicking on those links in the upper right corner of the discussion.

Use the back button or choose a newer or older topic.

SEARCHING TOPICS
Cuisine at home Forums can be searched by text (Keyword Search). To start a search, click on the "search" link located at the top of the Cuisine at home Forums home page.


Click to search
When the search request form appears, type in the word or words you would like to search on. You can even search by the "User Name" of someone whose posted messages you want to view.

Don't forget to click on the "Perform Search" button to actually execute the search.

When the search results are displayed, click on a topic to select it or click on the other options to either perform a new search or go back to the other discussions.

PARTICIPATING IN DISCUSSIONS AND GETTING REGISTERED
Anyone can read the Cuisine at home Forums postings. But to get involved and actually post a reply or start a new topic, you'll need to register with your name and email address. That way, you have full control over your own account and you are able to edit any messages you write...even after you post them!


Registering gives the following benefits:
  • You can edit any Cuisine at home Forums message that you post
  • You can change your own password
  • When you start or post a new discussion topic, you can choose to receive e-mail notification every time someone responds to your posted topic.
Getting Registered
At the beginning of the registration process, there are just a few rules that you are asked to read. If you click "Agree" at the bottom of the rules page, the registration screen will appear.

To get started, click on the "Register" link at the top of this page. This will bring you to our "Rules" page.

After you agree to the "Rules", the Cuisine at home Forums Registration page appears. Type in the requested information. Remember to include your e-mail address, full name, and desired user name as requested.

Don't forget to press the "Submit" button to complete the registration.

Hint: Choose a "user name" and "password" that you can easily remember. Whenever you post a reply, edit a message that you posted, or post a new discussion topic, you will be asked to enter these items exactly as they appear in your registration information

A registration confirmation message will appear on the screen so you can check that all the information is correct.

POSTING A RESPONSE TO A TOPIC
To post a message to an existing "discussion", click on "Post Reply" at the top of any discussion page.

To Post a New Topic



A window displays prompting you to enter your "user name" and "password". Your "user name" and "password" must be typed exactly as when you registered

Note: You must be a registered user in Cuisine at home Forums in order to post messages.

If you are not registered, click on the "Want to Register?" link.

If you have forgotten your password, click on one of those links.

Just type your reply in the area provided. In your message you may type a complete Web address, (such as: http://www.yourwebsite.com/) and the link will be created automatically for you.

Please do not use any HTML Code in your messages because it is quite common for people to forget an HTML tag here or there, which can ruin the display of the discussion topic.

Posting a Response

POSTING A NEW TOPIC
You may also start a new discussion topic by clicking on the "Post New Topic" button. This will add a topic with the subject you specify and start a discussion based on the message that you type.

Adding a new discussion topic is just like "posting a reply" with the addition of a "Subject" line that you must fill in. After filling in the subject line, post your message as described in Posting a Response to a Topic.

CHANGING YOUR REGISTRATION INFORMATION
If some of your registration information has changed or is incorrect, you can update your Cuisine at home Forums profile by clicking on the "Edit Registration" link at the top of each page.

If you want to edit your registration information but have forgotten your password, just click on either of the links (marked with the arrow) on the Edit Registration page.

OOPS! I FORGOT MY PASSWORD
If you want to respond to a message or post a new topic but have forgotten you password, click on either "Post a Reply" or "Post a New Topic".

Then click on either of the forgotten password options.

The page that displays asks only for your email address. Type your email address which you used in registering and click to submit.

Shortly after submitting the request (i.e. anywhere from 2 to 30 minutes depending on the speed of your internet connection), you will receive an email message with the "user name" and "password" that you used to register.

Hint: Print out the email message, so that next time you don't have to wait before posting a message.
